Zulu Adigwe was an outstanding veteran actor who kick-started his acting career in Nollywood in 1988 in the Nigerian old TV series “Basi And Company” where he played Mr. B.

Unfortunately, the astounding actor bowed to death as revealed by the movie producer, Stanley Ontop who affirmed that he was reportedly down with an undisclosed illness for a long time.

Zulu Adigwe was a multi-talented Gem in Nollywood. He was a writer, filmmaker, actor, and motivational speaker who touched many lives with his wealth of experience.

Over the years, he lived an undisclosed life free from drama and controversy. Zulu was known for playing fatherly roles in movies. His career spanned over 30 years dishing out exceptional talent and artistic prowess that kept viewers glued to their screens.

His good command of English Language is second to none. He was in a class of his own who exuded an aura of happiness and joy wherever he was. 

Till he took his last breath, Zulu Adigwe was still active in filmmaking. He was also active on other social media platforms like Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTube where he shared his movie set photos and inspiring words. 

Zulu is a very lovable and free-spirited individual. This is evident in how he relates and engages in conversations with people on movie sets and other places.

He puts on his smiling face regularly and is conservative about life. 

He’s a learned person. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine from the University of Austria and also studied Theatre Art with First Class Honour from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Furthermore, he enrolled himself in French and German classes where he learned the two European languages.

His death came as a rude shock in Nollywood as nothing is known about his family. But as of December 2023, he was still very much active in the movie industry and was also active online dishing out his life experiences on Tiktok and YouTube.

Zulu was born on May 17, 1960, in Enugu State. He’s a native of Enugu State but later relocated to Austria where he had his primary, secondary, and University education.

He studied Medicine at the University of Austria and also enrolled in German and French classes. The veteran actor later worked as a Teacher and moved back to Nigeria after his father’s death.

Due to his passion for acting, he bagged a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts with First Class Honour.

He first appeared in the popular TV series, “Basi and Company” where he played Mr. B in 1988, followed by his role as “Professor Monday Edem” in “Checkmate” in 1991.

Since then, he has starred in over 200 films. He was active in filmmaking until December 2023(This is a verified report from his official Instagram page).

Some of his most popular movies are Issakaba, End Of Time, Face Of A Liar, Top Secret, Living Abroad, Living In Bondage, Blood Diamond, and The Kingmaker.

Zulu Adigwe is well known for playing fatherly roles where he exhibited wickedness through witchcraft. 

Unfortunately, he was stereotyped for such roles as producers saw that he could play the role exceptionally well. That shows the depth of his professionalism as the film industry is a make-believe world that projects the Nigerian culture and teaches viewers/audiences good morals.

After years of hiatus in the movie industry, Zulu secured his space in the spotlight again in 2019 when he starred in “Living In Bondage: Breaking Free”, a sequel to “Living In Bondage” which was produced in the early 2000s.

The veteran actor has acted alongside the late Junior Pope, Destiny Etiko, Ngozi Ezeonu, and many others.
