Daniel Anthony Nsikan aka Jay Boogie is a popular Nigerian transgender, fashion model and brand influencer. He’s the founder of Jays Secret, a fashion store he plans to unveil online soon.

Jay Boogie who was born Daniel Anthony Nsikan on June 26, 1998(25) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State is a native of Akwa Ibom. He’s the eldest of 4 siblings. His precious mother, Mrs Nsikan died years ago.

Jay gained prominence as a transgender 3 years ago(2020) when he announced his transition from the male gender to the female gender. 

The decision to gender transformation came with a lot of backlash but despite that, many still respect his decision and praise his confidence despite living in Nigeria where transgender(LGTBQ) is not legal.

Over the years, Jay Boogie has promoted different beauty and skincare brands. He’s based in Port Harcourt but often visits Abuja regularly for business.

The transgender is well known for flaunting his beautiful body online. He looks absolutely like a real woman and you will hardly know if he is a man if you don’t look at him well. 

Jay Boogie has told people to refer to him as a “She”. In his Instagram profile, he’s always spotted at several events looking stunning in revealing outfits.

The motive behind his gender transformation is unknown but he has always identified himself as a woman despite the negativity he gets from people.

On September 9, 2022, he acknowledged that he’s a blessed woman without menstrual pain or stress. On July 6, 2022, he revealed the responses he gives to people who ask if his parents are proud that he’s transgender and noted that they are proud that he’s.

Jay Boogie is living his dream life and taking good care of his siblings but the model is currently in a critical health condition as he seeks help.

According to him, he had a liposuction 360 & BBL Surgery with one Dr. Chidinma Akpa, the Owner of Curvygirl Essentials also known as CGE Healthcare on October 30, 2023.

Prior to the surgery, the Doctor requested she stop her Hormonal medication. She noted that had no other health concerns before the surgery and has test results to back it up.

She said few hours after the surgery the Doctor informed her that she had Sepsis and Acute Kidney Injury. She further said the Hospital refused to take responsibility and abandoned her in another hospital.

She affirmed that since November 1, 2023, she has been on dialysis and treatment for Sepsis. She said has exhausted her life savings and has received funds from the Nigerian Plastic Surgery Community and a few friends.

She noted that her medical treatment has put a strain on her finances, pleading to the general public to assist her with funds for continuous treatments.

She pleaded with everyone to help her and that she still has a second chance in life. She also said she’s the breadwinner and sole provider for her 4 siblings.

In a live chat on Instagram on Friday, November 10, 2023, she cried profusely as she sought help.

Jay Boogie whose real name is Daniel Anthony Nsikan is a native of Akwa Ibom State but was born and raised in Port Harcourt. He’s the eldest child in the family and has 4 siblings. He did his secondary school in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and proceeded to Akwa Ibom State University.

Jay Boogie Surgery/Condition

According to him, he was down with Sepsis and Acute Kidney injury. A GoFundMe was created for him and people donated money for his treatment. Jay Boogie was accused of lying about his health condition to siphon money from Nigerians. He was discharged from the hospital on November 28, 2023 and he’s getting better and still on medication. He affirmed that he never defrauded Nigerians and that he was actually diagnosed with Sepsis and Acute Kidney injury.

During his interview with media personality, Egungun, he(Egungun) said Nigerians are annoyed that he(Jay Boogie) scammed them and asked what he has to say to them. Jay Boogie then knelt and begged Nigerians, noting that he never scammed them. He added that it was all fake news and he’s sorry everyone felt that way and that he’s not such a person. He thanked them for the donations and prayed that God will continue to bless them.
