Otunba Subomi Balogun Wife, Children, Daughters in-laws, Great Grandchildren, At His Burial

Otunba Subomi Balogun, a bearer of Commander of the Order of the Niger(CON) title, and a high chief bestowed with The Tunwase of Ijebu Olori Omo-Oba died at 89(1934-2023) and was given a befitting burial by his wife, Olori Abimbola, Children, Grandchildren, and late grandchildren. 

Late Otunba accomplishments in the finance sector know no bound. With his wealth of experience, he was able to implement changes that enhanced his businesses in Nigeria and around the World. 

Balogun is the founder of the new generation bank, First City Monument Bank(FCMB), and was also into real estate and many other lucrative businesses. 

He was a lovely father, husband, and an amazing philanthropist respected by all and Sundry. His demise was painful and the pain and agony of remembering he has gone for life is like a wound that refuses to heal.

Otunba’s children, Bolaji, Ladi, Jide, and Gboyega head his conglomerate. He nurtured them to become great ambassadors of his brand and so his legacy will live on.

They were accompanied by their wives, Kemi, Uche, Banke, and Emma Balogun(Subomi’s daughter-in-law) for the burial arrangement.

Late Otunba Michael lived a fulfilled life and that’s why he was celebrated, with top dignitaries and personalities gracing his funeral.

Late Otunba Subomi Balogun laid to rest in country home in Ijebu

This past week(July 4, 2023), there were lots of events organized in memory of him.

From the Night of Tribute in Eko Hotel to Song Of Service at Church to the Commendation Service and the burial reception at Court Of Tunwase(his mansion) were a rollercoaster of emotions.

Olori Abimbola Balogun, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren shed tears as they mourn the death of their beloved father. 

His children and grandchildren gave renditions at the church as they remember him for his good deeds.

Top dignitaries like the Former Governors of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Ibikunle Amosun, Former VP, Yemi Osinbajo, Vice President, Kashim Shettima, Billionaires, Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Former Governor of Cross Rivers State, Fidelis Duke, Governor of Lagos and Ogun State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dapo Abiodun and many others were present at the occasion.

They all met Subomi’s wife and sent their condolences. After the Church service, his corpse was taken in his Rolls Royce. The Burial Reception was a celebration galore as they danced all through. Femi Odetola and Aliko Dangote were present at the reserved seat and were greatly acknowledged.

How Many Wives Did Late Otunba Subomi Had

During his lifetime, he only married one wife, Queen Abimbola Subomi Balogun. Many have argued that he’s not married to many wives, noting that throughout his life as a billionaire, he had just one woman.
