Popular actress and executive producer of the cinema movie Ada Omo Daddy, Mercy Aigbe revealed during her interview on TVC’s “Your View Show” that she changed her religion because she loves her husband.
During the interview, she was asked about her life, how she met her husband, and the drama that ensued with her ex-husband’s first wife, and the mother of two said she loves her husband.
She noted that she was comfortable and had kids before she met Kazim Adeoti and wasn’t about the money but had a natural likeness for him.
She said she doesn’t think anyone would have gone through what she passed through if not for love, adding that it’s because of love that she remarried and that she’s a lover girl and a very emotional person.
When Mercy Aigbe was asked why she changed her religion to Islam she said they(the interviewers) made it seem like she was asked to change her religion, noting that she just decided on her own to change the religion.
When she asked how her family took it, she said she’s a 45-year-old woman and is responsible for her actions. She added that when it comes to religion, she’s a very liberal person and that she loves her husband so much that was why she changed her religion.
Mercy Aigbe said her husband is a religious person and that she sees him praying and doing many things, adding that he’s someone she admires a lot.
She said converting to the Islamic religion makes their bond sweeter and that she’s learning the religion and learning how to pray.
Mercy Aigbe also noted that at the end of the day, they are serving one God.
