Ray Emodi is a popular actor, singer, media personality, and filmmaker. He’s well known for playing bad boy/lover boy roles in movies. Since his debut in his movie, God’s Own Villa in 2013(age 23) he has continued to dominate the Nollywood industry.

Ray is loved by fans for his exceptional acting skill. Although an embarrassing moment he recently had on Instagram was when a young female filmmaker called him out for not appearing in her movie, failing to also refund her money. He was lambasted by trolls and this triggered his quick action to make a refund.

Ray was born on September 4, 1990(age 32), in Enugu State to Dr. Okey Emodi and Senator Joy Emodi. 

His father who was an educationist and economist died in August 2019 and his mother was the first female in Anambra State. She took office as a senator in 2005 representing Anambra North Constituency. 

Emodi is the youngest child in the family and has two elder sisters who are happily married.

He studied Business Management at Nottingham Trent University and later attended New York Film Academy, where he bagged a degree in Filmmaking.

Anxiety Disorder

Today, July 20, 2023, he announced that he has been battling with anxiety disorder since 2015. He noted that the symptoms recently got complicated and he’s going for a long break in Nollywood to treat himself.

He pleaded with everyone to be patient with him while he refunds the money received from movie producers for work. The actor is set for treatment in Abuja
