Mercy Isoyip who’s popularly known as Descushiel is a talented Nollywood actress who doubles as a rapper and model.

Mercy is also an evangelist, accountant, chef, and interior designer. She’s an epitome of beauty and a woman admired by all for her beautiful physique and personality. She’s a multi-talented entertainer. Her acting and rapping skills are fascinating thereby endearing her fans to her.

Mercy Isoyip began her career in modeling in 2009 and modeled for Orange Drugs. She renewed her contract with them in 2014 and her image was used as cover page for their calendar alongside other gorgeous models.

Mercy released her first movie titled, An Accidental Affair with Kenneth Okolie and Kunle Remi on December 24, 2022. Some of her latest movies in 2023 are My Ex-Lover, Unusual Arrangement, Who He Loves, and Music Is My Crime. Her acting skill is top-notch and she has been dubbed one of the best actresses in Nollywood by her movie lovers.

Biography

Mercy Isoyip was born July 11, 1990 and is a native of Calabar in Cross Rivers. She attended University of Calabar where she bagged a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Due to her love for acting, she proceeded to New York Film Academy where she studied Filmmaking and graduated in 2016.

Mercy rarely shares photos of her mother and siblings and has shared photos of her father a few times on Instagram. Her family lives in the US. She is based in the US but shuttles between the US and Nigeria due to work.

Mercy is not always in the news except from the recent happening(Week 1 of November 2023) where she was mocked for her inability to recite the National Anthem during Police Conference and Senior Officer retreats in Imo State.

The actress who performed at the event apologized for muddling words during the conference and the Nigerian Police have accepted her apology as Inspector General Of Police, Kayode Egbetokun publicly stated that they are forgiven her for reciting the National Anthem wrongly.
